CURRICULUM

The well structured curriculum provides adequate experiences to our students to hone their scholastic and co-scholastic skills. The entire curriculum is designed in a manner to facilitate learning in an enjoyable manner. Activities are designed for all major concepts to facilitate learning by doing and allow the clarity of concept. Each topic will be integrated with visual representation using smart boards, demonstrations and activities to cater to individual difference and different learning styles. The curriculum implementation will equip students to apply the knowledge acquired and make them thinkers. Life and thinking skills will be an inseparable part of the curriculum. Every moment of learning will integrate and impart the essential lifelong skills that will equip the students with the tools to face the challenges of growing up and ultimately to be a balanced adult.

DIVISION OF CURRICULUM

PRE-PRIMARY WING

Curriculum is framed on the lines of Primary Year Program that promotes thematic learning through well designed activities correlating all the learning experience to give an overall integrated picture and allows the students to apply the knowledge to real life situations. Learning is made pleasurable through play and participation. The pre-primary kids are housed in spacious colourful building. There are separate activity room, play area and toddler park for the pre-primary.

PRIMARY WING

Primary Wing comprises of students from class I to V. Formal subjects are introduced. Latest technology and unique methodology developes after the consultation with leading experts to deliver the lessons. Lessons are planned in a manner so that the students get to learn their subjects in practical manner and with lots of projects and activities. Special emphasis is laid on language, communication and life skills to empower students with tools to extend the learning beyond class room into real life.

MIDDLE WING

from VI to VIII are crucial years that prepare a child to turn their dreams into reality. Students prepare themselves to expand their horizon to learn more and apply the learning into day to day lives. Science and Social Sciences are formally introduced along with the third language. Students are provided with ample opportunities to learn and play. Appropriate guidance is provided so that students realize their potentials and lay strong foundation to pursue their interests. We arrange for Career orientated preparation for Senior School and Mentor Program by professionals from various fields to help students understand the real challenges in a profession. This will help them choose careers suited to their aptitude and interest at an early stage.

SECONDARY WING

Education at all levels is also viewed today as an acquisition rather than knowledge acquired through books. As such the curriculum imposes the imperative of including in the variety of activities that impart skills that can form the basis for a future career aspect for the student.

It is with this purpose in mind that students are encouraged to be analytical, creative goal oriented and innovative in their through process, develop the feeling of a responsible citizen towards society.
The school aims to harness and enhance literary, creative scientific and aesthetic skills which are integral part of CCE.

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

Curriculum at QR Smart School takes particular care to ensure a wholesome and all round development of the child, his character and personality as well as inculcate in the child such qualities that will enable him /her to grow up as disciplined, well adjusted and responsible citizens. Keeping in view the same a range of co- curricular activities have been designed.

Skill Development through Hobbies

Hobby clubs cover a wide range of activities from sports to technology to art and culture .Each student can choose two clubs, one each from a different category (Sports & games /performing art) and pursue their interest. Students will receive personalized training from experts on the hobby chosen during school hours.

Sports

The objective of education today is to create self confident, self reliant independent individuals ready to undertake their role as future leaders. When one takes on to the sports field these qualities are imbibed naturally into one's persona.

QR Smart School has the vision to use sports as tools of joyful learning and personality shaping .The school lays especial emphasis on Sports and fitness as a medium to inspire students to work towards their goal. Sports and games in itself is an institution .It has so much to offer to each one of us. Discipline, confidence, hard work, time management, healthy living, decision making and many more essential life skills that one requires for the task of growing up and face the day to day challenges of life.

Cricket field, Football and Hockey ground, Lawn tennis, Golf, Badminton court, Skating ring, ,Cycling Track , Athletic Tracks, Table Tennis, Dart, Chess, Martial Art, Aerobics, Yoga, Gymnasium are the key facitities.

Art and Craft

Performing Arts

Dramatics

Theatre enhances one’s ability to observe, analyze, emote, negotiate and imagine through space and time structures. It allows expressing ones understanding of things, concepts and situations without hesitation. It also builds up confidence and public speaking skills. Theatre holds a very special place in learning and personality development at QR Smart School Shaheedpath.
